Red face Poor bluetooth call quality with 8310

Please Login to Remove!

So I just purchased my new 8310 (running 4.2.2.170) from ATT last week and have been loving it so far. The only problem I've really noticed is that my bluetooth headset, a Plantronics 340, which worked from the other room with my old mobile (Sony Ericsson Z525) is performing rather poorly with my 8310. Even when I place the handset on the right side of my desk when the BT is in my right ear, I get a great deal of static. I've searched the other threads but I couldn't find any other instances of this. Are there any new 8310 owners with similar BT issues? I'd appreciate your help. Thanks.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8310/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

I was wondering if that might be a problem. I'm pretty sure my headset is not a 2.0 headset. Is BT 2.0 not backward compatible w/ 1.2? Could that account for the static?
