As a college student, I am very reliant on my Blackberry Curve to keep myself organized. An application I frequently use every single day would have to be "Tasks".

I LOVE THAT APPLICATION!

Anyways, I was going to check up on what work I had left to do, but my Tasks were no where to be found! What happened?

You very likely hid the icon.
From the main homescreen, press the menu key to SHOW ALL.

Well unless you deleted it (which is not easy), it's not gone.

Have you done any updating via the Desktop Manager/Application Loader lately?

No I have not hooked it up to the PC. And I did not delete it.

your icon is still there, but the tasks you put in are gone, correct?
how long have they been in there?

I apologize for the lack of the background info. My tasks application icon is not viewable at all.

Use the search button to find some words used in your tasks.

It is hard to delete tasks without knowing it.

This is a puzzle!

Make sure you have scrolled all the way up and down on your home page.

If you created any folders, look and make sure it was not moved into one of them.

go to Options, then ADVANCED OPTIONS, then APPLICATIONS and Tasks should be listed. If not it HAS been deleted and unless you have a backup, is gone.

When you do recover from this, make a backup and do it as often as you can

brolly, might be helpful to answer some the questions posed here, is it the actual icon you are missing, or you can open your tasks app and there are none inside?

Okay. My problem is that on my applications screen, even when viewing the hidden applications, the "Tasks" application does not show.

I did a search for one of my tasks and it popped up.

Also, when I go to options, advanced settings, the tasks application is there. How do I make it go back?

When I searched for one of my tasks like "throw away the garbage", it finds it. But if I wanted to let's say add a new task, I can't because I'm not in the original tasks menu.

Have you pulled the battery on your BB (while powered on) and replaced it, to reboot? Do that and see if it appears.

if you have dialing from homescreen disabled, just press 't'. it will bring up the task manager.

No. I tried rebooting and everything. I'm gonna try that disableing method right now.

It's possible it got sucked into that black hole of icon moving.
Go to options -> themes hit the menu key and reset to defaults. You'll lose any folders and icon position settings you have.
