Please Login to Remove!

hey whats goin on guys...this is my first post on this forum but i have been doing alot of reading... i wanna say thanks alot .. ive learned alot from this site and i log in regularly at work and i always learn something new... i just recently purchased my first blackberry and its safe to say.. im never goin back... anyways...

my question is.. on my 8320... i want to assign a specific ringer for specific people.. ive gone to the profiles and added an exception... then in the 'from' menu i select the contact to whom i want the specific ringer for... then use profile to active profile.. then i chekced off custom phone tune and selected the ringer which i wanted... it just DOESNT work.. i even did a battery pull and all that... it still uses my default ringer.. any help would be greatly appreciated.. ive been tryin to figure this out for 2 days now.. thanks in advance...

Go into your phone book...select the contact you want to add the custom tune for...you will see the phone number listed....click the menu button....click edit...you will see the phone numbers...picture...address...etc.
click the menu button again...and there you will see "add custom phone tune"...then save.

You can go onto your blackberry and through your computer and put the songs you choose into the "Ringtone" file....and then you can choose them easily

I have over 15 different ringers for different people...and if its in holster or out.
Shouldn't have a problem if you save the song in the ringtones file....then choose that song for the specific person as I told you in my first post.

try it with a different custom ringtone, perhaps something is wrong with just that one.

I didnt do anything except set them....I didnt have to change any features....try changing the profiles...then setting them back....if nothing else i say Backup then battery pull to reset. That seems to be the comon fix for these things for some reason.
