Hello everyone in the BB community. I am new to this forum. I am writing from Germany, I am a self-employed businessman and own a BB Curve 8300. I have a question for everyone owning a Curve 8300. I am now on my 3rd phone since August 2007. After approx. 3-4 weeks the camera zoom functions stops working both on the track ball and on the side up-down keys. The camera works but not the zoom function. This has happened with every replacement phone. Now only 2 days ago the same problem has started with my 3rd replacement phone. Has anyone out there had this problem as well and if so how did you overcome it? I am pretty happy with my new BB phone despite the fact the product does not deliver 100%.

Some people have pulled the battery (while the device was powered on) to get that functionality back. Not sure why it keeps happening to you.

A battery pull always fixes the camera zoom issue. I've yet to see an instance where it didn't.

I've had no such problem thus far... hopefully its not a problem with all versions of the phone.

Thank you for the fix. It just happened today, so I went on-line to find out if there was a patch for the problem.
Removing the battery worked.
