Default Downgrading 8300 OS

Please Login to Remove!

I recently upgraded my 8300 to the most current OS (4.2.2r314/Singapore Tel)...but I find that it does some things that irk me. For example, I keep losing the ability to hold down the 1 key to check my voicemail-- it tells me that it's an invalid phone number, so I go to Speed Dial and delete the non-existent contents of the "W" key...then it works and then it stops, probably when I do a battery pull. Anyway...I'm thinking of downgrading to the newly-released AT&T OS 4.2.2r301.

My questions are:

* Is this an easy thing to do? Will it simply overwrite the 314 OS?
* Has anyone else done this?
* Does anyone have reason to think that doing this will give me a more stable OS?

Thanks.

It's easy
I've done it
No - I'd stick with .314

You can put the Voice mail number back in under Phone / Options / Voice Mail.

My voice mail number doesn't disappear...it just becomes inaccessible to the phone when I hold down the 1 button. I ended up putting the voicemail number as my "W" speed dial...figuring if I can't fool it, I might as well go with it.
