Default Sync with Roxio problems

Hi, been reading the threads concerning this, but did not see a direct answer. Hopefully someone has an idea.

Here's my story. 8300 from AT&T, however it's unlocked and I am using it on Rogers in Canada.

On one computer, with the older version of DM, Aug 27 2007, I can use Media Manager to add/delete media files from both Device Memory and Memory Card. I've got a 1GB Media Card in it. However, I cannot "see" the Memory Card as a Mass Storage Device (drive letter in windows explorer) and yes, all the correct options are turned on (mass drive support, etc.) in the 8300.

On another computer, I installed the latest DM w/SP2 that included Roxio MM. However, when I run the Roxio MM, it only shows me the Device Internal Memory storage, not the Memory Card. I looked at other posts on this site and read that the MC setting on the BB8300 need to be on for support of mass storage devices, etc. As I stated above, all those settings are already activated (no encryption however). And like the first computer, I can't "see" the USB device under mass storage or as a drive letter in Explorer. I went into my computer, right click manager, disk management and again don't see the 8300's media card. If I look under USB Serial Bus Controllers, I do see Blackberry Device listed. But alas, no drive letter in Explorer. I'm running v4.2.2.114 of the BB OS. Not sure if Rogers supports v4.3, which may be the answer to my problems.

So for now, I use the older DM software with MM to move music around, and use the newer DM sp2 software specifically for App Loader, which is another thing that the older DM won't support for the 8300. Was trying to install themes and found this out, the hard way.

If anyone has any advice, I would very much welcome it.

Thanks, Ken
