This site has a bunch of OEM cases. Here's a link to the 8330 page (it's still rather empty on content, but I'm sure after the phone is released it should start populating with case options like the other 8300 series):

http://cnn.cn/shop/blackberry-8330-c-200_468.html

P.S. I'm in no way endorsing this site, never bought from them myself. Just passing it along.

Actually, 'butt ugly' would be more appropriate. I'll wait on the all black model later in the year.(hoping) Till then its my very cool ALL black with a smidge of chrome 8830.

I can confirm that the shipment has arrived at the corp office. they have them in hand as I did also. Had to give it back

But yes two weeks we will see it in stores. Which will be May, the reason they told me late May was with shipping. Some stores will not get it till later in the monday to distribute all them around.... Most stores shoudl have them in two weeks.

I tell ya it's a sweet device....

Also Touch and Env 2 will be out Monday

In stores by the begining of May???

Where does that leave business customers? I have usually been able to get my hands on the new kiddies a week or two early thru my business account.

Any word on when the release for B2B will be?

Thanks,

That sucks ^ I have until 5/1/08 for my 30 days to be up. I've had too many issues with 3 pearls, that they let me switch out to an 8830 on April 1 (I was over 30 days on the pearl). I thought I wouldn't miss the camera that much and I was completely wrong. I hate they way u receive photo messages with the 8830. Looks like I'll be going to at&t if I'm not able to switch out to the curve. I'm not going to pay over 500.00 for the Curve because it has what I want. If they allow me to switch out my 8830 I'll stick with VZW. I get discounts through the company I work for. We get discounts on Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-mobie..... Sorry all this is just me thinking/venting. Sorry if I make no sense. Mike

Now to answer my own question:

I just got a call back from my b.rep and he is telling me that B2B customres can order the phone in the first week or May, and that the stores will have the curve a week or so later. Which jives with the last few offerins and the older time tables of past releases...

More to come I am sure...

Default No B2B yet, says Verizon Gov't Sales - 04-15-2008, 10:47 PM

I spoke by phone with Verizon Gov't Sales here in Southern California this afternoon and was advised that they had not yet received any email announcing a go-ahead for B2B sales of the Curve. He's eagerly awaiting them, too.

While everyoen else debates color and what to do with the 30 days of pearl nonsense...

Are we all settled with the May 5th date for B2B release of this bad boy???

serious, can we get an offical date already...
by the way, according to the pic. the new 8330
keypad buttons are black vs. white on the 8300 etc.
how well would that light up in the dark or if it lights up at all?

Same way they light up on the 8703, 8830, 8130, etc. The letter/number lights up, not the entire key.

And we know how easy those are to read!

Hopefully it will be the keyboard will be the same size/specs as the 8300/8310 and can be swapped out.

Had a 8300 and my company switch me to Verizon and now have an 8830...HATE the reversed out keypad. VERY hard to read, especially at night.

NOW: 9550/Verizon
THEN: 9530, 8330, 8830, 8300, 8100, 8700, 7100t, 7230, Kyocera 7135 & 6035

Today's answer to the 'When will VZW get the Curve' question is:

"The Curve will be available in the beginning of May"

The release date i was given was for Business channels, but retail stores / online orders usually follow about a week later...

I must say this entire release schedule is very disappointing...VZW really needs to get customers better offerings much faster, I know, I know great netwrok, but.......

why cant they have a great network and timely phones???

It seems Verizon is behind in getting phones that are trendy like the competition does. Why does it take them so long???

they are comfortable with just having the best service, although if they would offer better phones and not so many restriction on GPS and Bluetooth file transfer they would shut out all competitors

It's black and silver because it is a different material. It will be the same as the ATT Curve.

what really gets me angry is after all that waiting, its a phone
thats been out for a year already. if they going to make people
wait, at least make it worth wild and up date the features. but
iam one of those that choose service over device so i'll deal with it.
