[quote=Jawsnj;912015]I've taken that approach, this phone has been out for a year on other carries, so like most phones that are cool Verizon seems to be the last to get cool phones, so we've been waiting for a year or so, so whats another week or month????

And that is why you are not a true BB fanatic, because those of us who love our BB's CAN'T wait to have the latest a greatest releases, even if it is a year after everyone else got it...

So don't question what you don't understand, I am also a miserable suffering Met fan so that may help you see where I am coming from...hehehehe

Jawsnj,

I guess if you were a "true BB fanatic" you would of change carriers and got the curve a year earlier!! Just kidding...

I really love the my BB, will never go back to windows mobile. I just gave up any hope on Verizon getting phones out quickly.

You want a toe? I can get you a toe, believe me. There are ways, Dude. You don't wanna know about it, believe me.

See, I'm the exact opposite. I'm a true BB fan, and as such, will need some serious justification to get my 8830 out of my hands and replace with a curve. I have it set up the way I want it, spent money on a proclip car mount, several holsters, black housing, etc.

Oh, and I'm a Red Sox fan, and they just got swept by the D-Rays. How do you think I feel right now?

I can respect a man who has his phone set up just right, as I too have my 8130 just perfect, except one thing, this stupid half keyboard...

I got it as a stop gap because i really did not like the 8830 keyboard, and i do like have the camera and media player with sd card so spilled milk...just anxious for my new toy...

The one issue i would have with this release taking so long is that unless I am mistaken the operating sytem between the 8130 and 8330 are so similare it should have taken 5 minutes to test and disable gps...its just the controlling ways of VZW...

Lets go Mets...

You could pay $40,500 and still, no one has it. It will be out by Monday for business customers.

well I can understand you bought a device that didn't fit your needs. Most Mets fans don't think before they act. Heck look at the team they root for

But on a serious note you knew it had SureType when you bought it yet you settled for something you don't like. Whose fault is that?

From my corporate rep...

The RIM Rep advised him it would either be Monday or Friday of next week. (week of 5-5) He also said the codes are in their ordering system to place orders, but there are none in stock yet.

My heart is racing...

That doesn't make sense. Verizon prides itself on its business service and by releasing on a Friday then overnight shipping is useless to most businesses. My business rep says tomorrow or Monday.

My business/governmental sales rep just emailed me and said: "the Curve is set to come out Monday according to sources further up the chain than me. I expect to have official pricing by Friday."

Hopefully Friday we'll hear something more official.

One of the key lines in the Engage Mobile link is "so we recommend exercising some restraint here until your jaded heart actually spies it on Verizon's site -- or better yet, on a store shelf."

I would expect a mini site from Verizon for the curve, much like they did for the Q. They launched the Q mini site like a couple of weeks before you could buy them.

Can anyone explain how and why a carrier would release a phone on a Friday???

It just seems pretty stupid to launch at the end of a week, when a Monday would allow for beter delivery options, instead of having to wait thru the weekend???

I actually had to pull major complaining to have them deliver my pearl to my home on a Sat, and I really do not want to have to go thru that again...

Anyone shed some light on this industry brainfart...

called aroung to several stores today and same ole same ole, no one knows anything. One rep told me they usually get new devises in a week in advance.....so dose this mean it will be a couple of weeks before they release since they dont have them in stock yet?

There are people on HoFo who are claiming that they have been able to order their VZW Curves today. Most are claiming that they are overnighting so expect a flood of pictures tomorrow if what they say is true.

One gentleman (Mark_Venture) has a demo unit and has uploaded pics:

I just spoke with someone who found it but said she couldn't order it. The sku is bb8330c and when she put that in it came right up. She said it isn't launched so she can't ship.
