I ordered it online, I hope there isn't a delay. I'm ditching sprint, tired of them taking forever to release phones even though the simply everything plans look pretty good.

I know.. it took me a while to decide. I've been with sprint 7 years and they've gotten worse and worse every time I call customer service they screw up my account. Not saying verizon is any better but I'm going to give them a try.

you have no idea, Verizon is leaps and bounds better in customer service than Sprint and ATT, only thing that sucks of course is how slow VZW is at getting new phones...REALLY SLOW.

But that's the trade off I guess?

Yes, I noticed it's gone too from the phone list, however if you do a search for 8330 it comes up. Now it shows that the phone is unavailable.

No I got the 100 credit for new every two, 100 credit for the data plan. Then of course the 50.00 mail in rebate came automatically.

Up for new every two a few months ago -

I called *611 this morning and spoek with someone that was not really sre what was going on - After some delay, she did say the Curve was available and my Price would be $399 with a $50 off for new every two.

Sounds fishy. Have the Full Data Plan for 6 Years and that price seems high, especially when I see the above prices quoted.

I just ordered 3 on my business account, New lines and then i play the shuffle giving my old pearl to an employee and keeping the new guy for myself.

With busiess account discounts they came to $149.00 each.

Be here by 10:30am had to get Overnight Fedex for the new toys...

Funny thing is rep said they were avaliable Friday, but he also said only 30% of the friday orders went out correctly??? He gave no indication why, but they are in stock and ready to roll today (at least for you business customers)

Good luck to all...

So I guess the May 12th is for everyone else? If their selling them than why not put it on the web site? Or give a release date on the site.

Just got an email from my VZW b2b rep - said the Curve is now available to order (not sure if this is b2b only, though).

Good luck everyone!

They took that link down, also if you search for it you'll find accessories which say unavailable to buy at this time when you click to purchase. What I don't get is when I call or try the online chat they seem to have no clue about the curve.

Clarification...
My rep followed up with telling me that anyone who CALLS in to b2b and requests the Curve...it's OK to order. Official release date is still May 9th.

Strange, when the invisible picture of the curve was on the website I made a mock order which came out to $119 ($69 w/ rebate). I called up VZW and they sold it to me for $112 w/tax included ($62 w/ rebate). She said I could possibly get it tom!! awesome.

I got an Alltel Curve today for one of our employees. I like that it is a little smaller than my 8830, the keyboard buttons have a little more separation, and the camera of course.

I just ordered mine through Telesales... after literally 14 calls to CS and Telesales... all telling me different reasons as to why they couldn't sell it to me... then on my last call the Telesales rep said, "Yup... you can get it!".

$169 after $100 Advanced Device Credit, $50 MIR manually auto credited, $50 NE2 credit.

I'm not sure why it didn't end up being $119 like some of the rest of you guys... or even $65 or whatever some of you guys got... but... as long as it's not retail price... and as long as what I pay isn't more than $200 I'm okay with it...Honestly, i'm just happy to get it at all!

I honestly think sales reps "pad" their prices here and there to make a buck. Otherwise, how else can there be such a range of "end" prices even after the same credits were issued? Anyway... whatever.

All I know is my Curve will be arriving on Wed.

My Telesales rep was great... Give him a call and he'll "get'er done."

Got mine yesterday too. So far I love this phone! I had the pearl and then the 8830..... This phone is the best of both. I love the size and having the camera back. I think it's the perfect size. I just have to wait now for accessories for it. I'd like to get somekind of case/belt clip for it. There's nothing listed on the Verizon site or in the store yet.....

i contacted Seidio and they will have a clip/holster for it with in the next 2-3 weeks. They said the current clips and holsters for the others curves will not fit. On a brighter note, anyone that like's the invisibleshield will be happy to know that the current shield for the 8310 will fit the new 8330 curve. Check out invisibleSHIELD | iPod Cases, Screen Protectors, Covers, Shields, Skins, Invisible Shield.

Funny you mention that.. the first task was to call the Verizon rep, the second task was to get the bestskinsever for the curve. While I have experience with invisible shield (curr. on my 8703e.. and amazing protection), I chose BSE due to the lower price and similar functionality.
