the curve is the replacement to the 87xx series for all intents and purposes. since the 88xx and the 87xx were both available at the same time. the 9xxx device, if its real, would be an entirely new device series. again this is all rumor/smoke and mirrors, but it would be a fourth type of device.

Go back to page 5. Or better, check the Sprint thread a few posts down (at the time of posting). Or, Here's the latest and here were the first ones to surface.

Red face verizon curve - 03-21-2008, 01:21 AM

sorry, let me re-phrase that. what i was trying to say was,
when will verizon have a pic on there site confirming the release.
after all, we are in march and the rumor for release is april. i guess a pic
of a cdma curve is not enough for me since i been waiting since aug.

by the way, thanks purephase...

Hey!

I had a banana with my Healthy Choice microwave lunch! Just thought I would post something more informative than the last 200 posts on this thread.

There won't be until the day of release. They did it with the world edition (8830) because I don't believe there were any exclusives on the device and it was also a one-of-a-kind BlackBerry. They won't start advertising the Curve because it might detract sales from existing models (Pearl, 8703, 8830 etc.).

sprint is releasing april 20th, i expect vzw to release sometime before Christmas. they have to spend a little more time locking down the entire device and charging us out the a$$ to use apps that most carriers give for free. is having this good a signal worth getting screwed?

you know you are not bound to them with barbed wire or explosives you have the choice to leave if you arent happy. But instead you choose to gripe and fuss on a public forum.

Well, you answered your own question, since you still have Verizon. You knew before you got the service and device what the restrictions are, so how are you being screwed? That's like buying a car without air conditioning in Florida, then *****ing the whole time you're driving around sweating your ass off.

actually i am bound to them with a contract. i would rather have great service with restrictions rather than bad service and gps that always goes in and out. and whats wrong with griping on a public forum, have you rather me do it on a private forum

Cool Re: Verizon will get the 8300 / 8330 Curve? - 03-23-2008, 12:40 AM

I heard june or july in silver how original. I agree on the black(but then they might do silver and pink ) but Verizon might make the business customers mad. but the curve/8300 / 8330/8320 its a business device so much it has a camera which some business clients cant have and 2 internal speaker versus the 1 in the 8830. any ways i like my 8830 and xv6800.

Contracts can be broken. People do it daily.

You're the one who asked if it was worth getting screwed for a great signal not me. Again if you aren't happy then go to a carrier that has what you want.

I think it is hilarious how anytime someone post the smallest remark about VZW and the way the do business () that Dawg is the first one to the rescue for VZW. I wonder if the company gives him kickbacks for being their public forum lapdawg.

Good for you for being so loyal, but at the same time is a public forums and people can gripe about anything they would like to. (just so happens that VZW gives them plenty)

There's nothing wrong with defending a company you really like. My issue with the OP complaint is that he blasts them, yet continues to use their service. Why would anyone do that, when there are many alternatives? Don't continue to give them your money every month if you think they are ripping you off. That's just plain stupid.

Hmmm....

Dawg-- BBF Member: 3 years.

FinanceMan-- BBF Member: 45 days.

Seems to me you haven't been around long enough to describe what Dawg "always" does or doesn't do. Someone reported Dawg's post above (none of the parties here, BTW.) IMO, you asked for the response you got.

That being said....Please, let's keep it civil everyone.

This is really stupid. Who has skin so thin they would report that? This society has become filled with politically correct crap.

Black is now african-american
stewardess is flight attendant
housewife is home economist
crippled is physically impaired
blind is visually challenged
retarded is mentally challenged
janitor is sanitation engineer

Makes me sick. Blind is blind. A janitor is still a janitor. Whoever is offended by "bite me" should join a convent or monastery.

Can we try and get back on topic???

I check back 20 times a day ok maybe 3 or 4, but I get psyched when I see new posts...

Obviously once I get here, I see a bunch of very bored people posting about crap...

Can the moderator set up a section for whinny children, so everyone else can get their Curve Rumor info uninterupted???

Just a though of a lite poster but frequent reader of this site...

Will Verizon cripple features on the upcoming Curve? I love there service but I am starting to think about switching to AT&T. Can verizon just release the curve very very soon and not charge us all $299 with a 2 year agreement for a phone that to the rest of the world is old!

the curve on CDMA if it follows the line of the pearl is not the same device. im actually kind of annoyed at CDMA folk complaining. you wait on devices, big deal, but you get features that no other BB has. EvDO 3G and video recorder + external media card slot, streaming video, better suretype, etc. get over the time difference and enjoy your blackberry that has better features than ours. we had to wait 6 months to get a pearl 2 in the US on GSM, 6mo after you got it. guess what, we have to wait too.

VZW should be first CDMA carrier to release the Curve unless they found a showstopper in the final QA. With Sprint's dates looking more and more official though, they may beat VZW out of the gate.

Hey Dawg this is for you...WAAAAA WAAAAAA.

Now to business.

I have no issue with the Pearl 2 / 8130 and the crippled nav, get a NUVI if nav is so important.

As for the added, I would rather have EVDO speed and all the video / music / sd memory slot, etc... that came with Pearl 2 then a few little crippled items.

SO VZW release the hounds, (or Dawgs for our little cry baby) and give us the Curve 2...Don't let that crappy Sprint beat you to the punch, they can hardly stay in business as is...

VZW Ninjas, get us some info...
