Cool Vodafone 8300 can u insert a tmobile payasugo sim card?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi

I have an 8300 which I wish to sell to a friend, it is locked to vodafone (uk)

she likes the phone but doesnt really want the email function (and doesnt want t pay for it)

I said she can use the phone perfectly fine without the email funtion. but she has a TMobile payasugo sim card.

If I unlock the phone to any network, will she still be able to use the phone with all the features except email? using her Tmobile(uk) sim card?

Im worried that the internal browser wont work for browsing and applications like google maps wont download data. even if her sim card is data enabled (which it will be)

any ideas?
she wants to keep her number and avoid being in a contract as she is in UK for 6 months only.

thanks
Karim

Yes, if you unlock the device it will work. The built-in browser won't work, though. It won't even show up. You'll need the 3rd party browser called Opera Mini and the appropriate TMobile apn settings.
