Exclamation I need some educated guidance please

Please Login to Remove!

Hello.I bought a samsung sync a707 cell phone 2 wks ago.I am paying for the media pkg with AT &T.I feel that either I am doing things wrong or I need to return it & pay the difference for a blackberry.I only need a blackberry to be able to check my listings in my store, check my yahoo email & be able to research items on ebay when I am away. Could I please have some input on which blackberry models would be the best to consider.I really would like to keep my phone & buy a blackberry to switch my sim card back & forth from unit to phone.I am not happy with the time it takes my phone to try to get online to do anything.Thank you very much.I am very very new to the blackberry world.I also do not have a money tree since I have so many fees each month.Thank you again.

First--welcome to the Forums.

Any of the newer BB models will serve you well: 8800 seies, 8300 series... If you are often around a WiFi signal, go for the 8320 or 8820 models, and you will have super quick access to the net.

I don't understand why you will want to flip back and forth between another phone and the BB. You don't need to; the BB serves as an excellent phone.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

I would go for the 8310 or 8820

Thank you for your guidance.I have viewed the pearl & the curve again today.I am really not that old, but I am set in my ways.. I feel & could be wrong that I need the ability to switch back,as I have a need for the camera & we just got rid of our home landline.I like the comfort of my new cell.I have carpal tunnel so I am "an old lady, lol and frankly a little scared of the tiny keys on the pearl". I truly welcome input.I am not often around wifi. Is there a different one to view knowing this? Thank you very much.I appreciate your help.

The 8300 series have a nice 2 megapixel camera. Also, it is full QWERTY keyboard. Honestly, if you think you will have a problem with the keys, you will also have a problem moving the SIM card as well, as it is small and is placed in a tight cramped area. Of course you are free to swtich back and forth, but that would be absolutely no joy for me. <<--My input.

Default buying a Blackberry

I am totally new to this. I don't know much about Blackberries. I don't even have a Blackberry, but I am interested in buying one. I will be in Hong Kong in early March, and I want to know if it is worthwhile buying one there. Are they cheaper? Can they be relied on to be genuine? Can they be bought without connecting to Hong Kong system and used in other parts of the world?

I appreciate any information.

Thank you.
