I currently have a Treo 700wx. I would like the 8830 (verizon). I have everything windows based.
Can i get all of my outlook features as well as be able to work with excel and word?
Will i be able to sync both ways?
I have exchange server 2003 at work and i am the only one using a smart phone, can i connect through wireless sync like i do now?
Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated, I would in a small office and none of us are realy network savy.

Yes, your outlook features will work and synch both ways realtime (calendar) if you are using BES. You will not be able to work with Excel and word documents unless you buy additional software but it can be done.

If you use BIS you will get email reconcilliation but not over the air calendar synch.

I'm not sure you're going to be able to use BES with your company's Exchange Server. If the company doesn't support BES, it probably won't do you much good on the BB.

With Exchange Server and a Windows Mobile phone you get complete sync with Outlook. That's pretty much equivalent to how things work with BES. (Though BES still has a few "gotchas" sync'ing with Outlook.) Without BES, if you're looking for that kind of function, I believe you'll be out of luck. (I'm not sure when you say "wireless sync" if you're using VZW's wireless sync or just using ActiveSync, wirelessly -- which is far superior.)

There are some workarounds but none that I'm aware of will give you the ease and simplicity of what you're currently getting. I'm a former WM user who much prefers my BB, however if I didn't have access to BES, I'd still be with WM. (A rare opinion around these parts. )
