I have an 8700 with t-mobile. Im working on a political campaign and the campaign manager has a hookup with some guy who can get me an 8310 dirt cheap. When I told him the c. manager that I was on tmobile he said that it wouldnt work because something about an edge card or something of that sort. Is there any truth to this? I thought I could just get an 8310, pay Adam to get in unlocked, and insert my sim card. I asked the manager if that would not work and he said he didnt think it would. I thought it would. Whos right, me or him? I really want the 8310 because we have many times a week that we are in unfamiliar neighborhoods campaiging and GPS would be a huge asset. Anyway, thanks for the help.

An Unlocked AT&T 8310 will work on T-Mobile. As for GPS on the T-Mobile network I am not sure what is required, if it is Data assit or not.
