I cannot install the Blackberry Tools CD on my Dell D420. My IT department tried on other D420's and they all act the same and will not install.

The installation gets to the "initializing" part of the process and it never goes further.

Ideas? Has anyone else had problems installing? The disc does work on other machines ...

Are you running Vista? If so, make sure you have the Desktop Manager ver 4.2 SP 3 or ver 4.3.

It takes a while to initiate and run, but it will, eventually.

Running XP Pro ... it has sat for over 1 hour now initializing ... AT&T's cd is OK ... just won't run on a Dell D420 I guess.
