Is BB messenger included in the international blackberry add on for t mobile or do they charge extra? I keep getting mixed answers in general on weather or not you can use the web browser internationally too. One rep told me you can but they just dont public advertise for it so people dont take advantage, another rep said they never offered that. ugh? Does anyone have any first hand exoerience with t mobile international blackberry data roaming?

Not sure on this I know you can get email but not positive on data services! If you have wifi access you will be fine! Just do data through wifi!

Data used for web browsing is not covered by the BB International Email $20 plan. However, some people have used it and never been charged while some have been billed $15/mb as they technically should be. I believe the issue is with T-Mobile's roaming partners, not all of them report BB data and web data used seperately to T-Mobile.

I have not looked at the old threads in a while but I believe BES users can use data freely on that plan as all browser data is routed through the BB APN instead of a seperate wap APN. Can anyone else comment on this?

BB Messenger, and PIN messages in general will be included with the unlimited email plan.

I can't say that I totally believed the TM rep but when I went overseas earlier this year they said the international plan of 19.99 only covered email. Web browsing AND instant messaging (and they included BB messenger in there) were NOT covered. However, that's a TM rep...so you can never know for sure. Also, as Brian said above...some people browse the web, etc and never get charged...depends on how TM sees the 'data'. So you may get lucky.

T Mobile needs to change that. They're the only company that doesn't offer an unlimited international data plan. Blah

I roam internationally a lot, 8 or more times a year. I have the International BB Email. I do use the browser and BB Messanger and have yet to be charged for International data. I know this is not the situation for everyone and I would not risk it. T-Mobile's website FAQ makes it very clear that the plan covers Email only.
