Default Messages vanishing that are a week old

Using BIS - 10 email accounts

OS:
4.2.2.89

It seems like my email seems to only stay for about a week or so. Unless I "save" it. Forinstance currently I have email from 11/21 -16..then it skips to 11/13 and skips a few days ...but basically I get at least 10 pieces of email every day sometimes more
and it seems to just completely disppear. The only email that seems to stick around is what I save. I have heard of a memory leak on the curve, well rumor of one. But this appear to have started rather recently as I have been trying to search for stuff recently that was three weeks old and at first I thought maybe the search did not work but I scrolled through the list and found out otherwise, I have never got search to really work well on my NON-BES attached blackberry. I also have an 8700C that is hooked to a BES. I currently have 2290675 free and generally run Jive every once in a while light surfing, but I do not run a lot of applications concurrently, just use it to check my email. I have several gmail's & yahoo's accounts, I have not really explored the disappearing email issue with my BB's BIS address throught my carrier (AT&T) I also have additionally a few hotmails and imaps linked, they all seem to exhibit this issue.
Is this a new issue? I do not recall having this issue previously, I did however update my BB like a month back, but I thought all my original messages would remain after updating. And this morning while I was running navion,(It finally connected and actually loaded a map that showed my location!! first time). I watched my unread email account go from 37 to 8 in 10 secs and those email messages basically disappeared. Are these to issues related? Any help is appreciated, as I keep my email stored on this blackberry to reference it!! I do not have hide sent email or hide foldered email(the latter which does not really work as I have no foldering via a BES). And I have adjusted my email storage settings a while back from 6 months - Year after I originally noticed this problem but the symptions still occur. I bought my 8300 (returned 1st) on 7/14~.
Any advie or recommendations is welcome! This is unnerving.

Thanks

At that level of memory you will lose messages and call logs. You will need to free up memory. While there is no set limit I would try and shoot for 15mg. I will let others with your specific device chime in on how much.

To free memory:

How do I free up memory on my device? - BlackBerryFAQ

Also a hard reset once a week is a good idea as well as properly closing programs instead of placing them in the background.

One additional setting:

Messages>Menu>options (Keep messages = Forever).

Good luck!

You are a decimal place off.... 2,290,675 = 2.2mb 22,906,750 = 22mb

Review the link and follow the instructions. You will be back in business in no time!
