Default small circle icon - what is it?

Please Login to Remove!

On my Curve 8310 I found on the home screen I get a small circle icon top left (my theme is verizon) sometimes.

It is the same icon that appears in google maps main screen in the middle when I dont have any gps signal. it sort of looks like a 'rifle sight' you get in computer games

om home screen I thought this might indicate if GPS has locked on or not.

any ideas

Perhaps it is a browser message? Do you have any saved web pages in your message folder that are unread?

Is it like a little target? It indicates GPS active
