Did you check it again? Make sure it didn't come back?

if i do a battery pull or device reset while on a UMA connection when the device comes back up and pushes back out all my service books my data stays lovercase. HOWEVER after about 10 min all data activity will work. E-mail, JiveTalk, Reg Browser, Opera Mini, MMS all work fine with either lowercase uma and edge. My 8320 has stayed in lowercase with full working data for days, jumping between wifi, and edge. Tried this on numerous routers and wifi connections, and no matter what if i forget to turn off wifi before i pull the battery it will come back up and keep showing lowercase. The only fix(s): turn off wifi, and reset; or get outside of wifi coverage and reset.

As i said not annoying since everything works, but when there is a data outage i cant tell so i end up reseting after i turn wifi off.

Notes: on .184 and just to clarify if i reset with wifi off (or outside of wifi coverage) connection will go uppercase.
I just tried this. I'm on 4.2.2.184, had UMA on. I removed the battery with UMA on and it came back up with UMA. No problem with it here.

I have the same problem with .184 and the data connection. The other day I was stuck on lowecase edge after a battery pull while powered up after I had decided to remove a program. I didn't get data back consistently until I did a register now a few times from the host routing table screen.

Very odd, but it does happen now and then and sometimes I will have lowercase uma and all data services will work just fine.

Yes. I deleted it, restarted DM 4.2, plugged in the 8300. Then I waited 5 mins with no luck and checked to make sure the vendor.xml was deleted - it was.

The firmware linked in this thread is for the 8320, not the 8300. For the 8300 use this download link.

oops...too quick on the draw (or not enough sleep). I posted in the wrong OS. In any event the file I downloaded says "8300...." so I'm sure I have the correct file, but I'll go post in the 8300 OS sticky.

Use the method described on BlackberryFAQ to reload the firmware.

This will make no changes to your firewall.

A quick backup of the 3rd party apps will alleviate this potential problem:

Default Help with my Blackberry 8320 - 01-20-2008, 04:44 PM

I have been using this new OS for over a month now.....

and is been like 2 weeks now that i have been having some issues with mine Blackberry 8320 such as.......bluetooth have not been connecting well with advices (or should i say it havent been connecting at all) and also have been pretty slow on me.

I would like to know if this have anything to do with the OS that is malfunctioning or is there a problem with my phone. I also have been thinking about putting my old OS that came with it from T-Mobile if i cant solve the problem.

I appreciate the help.....

Bluetooth connects fine for me with this OS. I use Bluetooth GPS units and a Motorola S9.

Yeah, I'm bored too. I'm wondering if there is anything between this OS and 4.3.1.
