Default Sending Service Books to set up MMS=ARGH

Please Login to Remove!

Hello-

I've searched the forums and haven't come up with a solution. I just recently upgraded from the Pearl to the Curve last week on TMo (I have a non-Intel Mac, so no OS upgrades on the desktop)

Anyway, I wasn't able to send MMS messages, so I wanted to send the service books. When I try to set up the internet email now (which I did when I purchased the phone) or access TZones, I get:

"Unable to open a PDP Context to the following APN: wap.voicestream.com
This may be happening because the currently selected browser configuration is not compatible with the current network."

I have my TCP setting to wap.voicestream.com (to try to get Opera Mini, but nada-not OM3 or OM4 beta 3 :(), and I can use the regular browser to access the internet as well as get my emails on .mac, gmail and tmo.blacberry accounts.

The TMo reps are on holiday, so I went to the website to try to figure this out. I cannot access the wireless configurator (no RIM products!), so it suggests:

If you are unable to use the Wireless Configurator to configure your phone, you may type the settings manually using the information provided below. These settings are specific to T-Mobile USA and will only work with an active T-Mobile USA account.

T-Mobile picture messaging settings

WAP GW IP Address:
216.155.165.050

APN Name:
wap.voicestream.com

Messaging Server:
http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms

Data Mode:
Connection Oriented

I don't know how (or where to find to change) to find these settings, with the exception of the TCP settting. I looked under "Advanced Options", but nothing doin'.

I appreciate all suggestions and thank you for your time.

With T-Mobile closed today my suggestion would be to go to your Service Books and delete the MMS service book if it is there. Then Options > Advanced > Host Routing Table > Applicaton Button and Register now.

See if that does anything for you. You will not be able to manually enter that information.

T-Mobile opens again at 1 AM PST

I did 2 master resets and 2 battery pulls-Nada-same message.

Then I called TMo, and apparently when I changed the TCP/APN to wap.voicestream.com (to try to get Opera Mini to work), I somehow deleted the wap permissions (?) for the phone.
