Default Must have apps for 8310?? (new BB user)

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys, I'm in the process of moving from the iPhone back to a BB 8310. I will not be using a BB plan either, just a data plan. This BB will be used for personal email (yahoo), text messaging, and some internet. What are some good 3rd party apps? Any help would be great. Thanks, WM

it will be the same list as for any other 8300 or other BB... "most" all softwares port from model to another very well. There are dozens of those lists on the Forum here.

WorldMate Live - if you travel frequently. Itinerary management, weather updates, flight schedules and status. All updated wirelessly.
Viigo Personal - RSS reader for your BB, updated wirelessly.
Google Maps - Can use the on-device GPS, too. Seems faster and smoother than the stock BlackBerry Maps application.
SplashID - if you have to remember several dozen passwords or ID numbers, and want them readily available (but protected). No wireless activity involved in this one.

Well, the BB plans start at $29.99. You can get the unlimited data plan for $19.99. A lot of people say that you don't need the BB plan, you just have to do some things to get around it. Theres some info about it here on the board.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll look into some of those.
