Can you turn off EDGE when in UMA?

I noticed that on my Curve when connected via UMA sometimes it'll switch back to EDGE for a moment or so. I dont want this to affect my minutes, thats why I opted for UMA.

Is there anyway in the settings to designate ONLY UMA, and thats it?

Options>Advanced>Manage Networks (WIFI ONLY)

I find mine switches a lot too at home unless I use this setting.

Somehow I think it might have something to do with you being in the Bahamas or you need to elevate your service request to the Blackberry support group.
