Angry Email attachements won't open on old mail. HELP!

Please Login to Remove!

Ok, there are some email messages that are 2 months old (or more) that have jpg attachments in them. When I first received the message (2 months ago) I was able to view the attachment. But I no longer can.

Is it cuz the email is too old? If so what is the limit?
Can this be fixed?
I have my BB8320 set to keep messages forever, what gives?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8320/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

What is the exact error you get?

Messages are kept forever but attachments are available only on demand. Was the message originally received on the 8320? If not, switching devices breaks the connection to the original message. Since the connection is broken, no on demand attachment.

The messages were received by the same device.
Also I get a red X next to the message after I try and open the attachment.
Thanks for the help so far.

>Is it cuz the email is too old?

Correct.

>If so what is the limit?

Don't know but know it does exist. Check with BlackBerry knowledge base or read through all small print and you might find it there.

>Can this be fixed?

No.

>I have my BB8320 set to keep messages forever, what gives?

Attachments are not kept on your blackberry, they are kept on RIM servers and only downloaded to your device when you choose to watch them. My guess is, RIM's servers are not set to keep your attachments forever.
