Default Use of Modem

Please Login to Remove!

tried setting up my 8310 as a modem; followed KB05196.

Modem & ports show ok in device manager.

Running diagnostics in modem properties the modem is not found; also the com port the modem is supposed to be on does not show in the com port list for blackberry desktop manager (4.1.0.10 - Sep 14) under options/connection settings.

Any ideas?

Bob

I would upgrade to DM 4.3. Not sure if it 4.1 has the right drivers or not. Then try again.

Seconded. I've heard no problems with 4.3 and you're the first I know who has attempted with 4.1

Even 4.4 is available somwhere, maybe you could be ahead of the pack.
