Default Address Book Question

Please Login to Remove!

Hi. First post (and fairly new Curve user). I have a question I was hoping someone could answer. Originally, when wanting to make a call, I could use the "letter keys" to pull up all the people in my address book that started with that letter. For example, I could type in "C" and it would pull up all entries that started with "C", like "Car Assistance","Cardiologist", "Chili's", etc. Now regardless of what button I hit, the phone pulls up the recent call log for all phone activities. I want it back to where I can use the letters to pull up my contacts, but can't figure out how to get that feature back.

Also - when I push the lock button on the side, sometimes it locks the keypad, sometimes it shows me the recent call log. Not sure what I'm doing different.

Any advice would sure be appreciated!! If I need to explain things better please let me know.

Push the green phone button then push options the see if your phone is set to dial from the home screen, if it's off then you need to push the green button to make a call. I the dial from home screen is on then your back to the way you had it before.

Thanks for the reply. Ok - I hit the green button, options, and there is nothing about "dial from home screen". If from there I select options, general options, there is a "dial from home screen" listed. This should be set to yes?

Sorry if I'm misunderstanding.

Thanks

You have to go green button, Menu > Options > General Options. There you'll find the toggle for "Dial from Home Screen".

I have mine turned "OFF" so that I can use the home screen hot keys. I find it makes everything much faster. When I want to make a call, I just hit the green button, and then all is like before. It's all personal preference.
