I just got an 8320, and everything has been working fine until last night. Last night, I downloaded the desktop manager that came with the phone. Then I tried to upgrade to the latest versions of both the desktop and the os.I don't know what I did, but I think I ended up with the same thing. I got the 4.2.2 destop manager and the 4.2.2.180 os. Well now I cannot download any ringtones or anything from my blackberry. I'm so confused. Please help!

It sounds as though you may have installed the Desktop Manager without the Media Manager module. If that is the case (where you don't see the Media Manager icon in the Desktop Manager) then you would simply need to uninstall the Desktop Manager you have and reinstall the version WITH Media Manager.

So, can you not use your browser or what is keeping you from downloading ringtones, anything, etc. Perhaps your Service Books for the browser have not loaded? Try these tips, starting with pulling your battery and replacing it to allow the BB to reboot.

Are you on BES by any chance? Could be an IT Policy prohibiting you doing those things.
