Default Bluetooth On / Off?

Please Login to Remove!

Maybe a stupid question, I can't find anything in the help, but on my 8700 with 4.2.... I was able to simply turn the bluetooth on and off via an icon on the full menu screen in the zen theme.

On the 8300 with 4.2.... it only seems that there is only a "setup bluetooth" icon to turn it on and off, and when you go there it always wants to start a new bluetooth pair and you need to hit a few ok's to continue.

Am I missing something here, or is this the only way to turn the bluetooth on and off w/ an 8300????

I don't leave the bluetooth on all the time to save on the battery. The quick on/off with the 8700 was much easier than what it appears you have to do with the 8300.........

Thanks in advance.

I leave it on all the time. Uses so little battery that it really doesn't matter. Plus I have a charger in the office and car if I need one.

Default Same Issue

I just paired and spoke with my Jabra bluetooth earpiece.
Turned off the ear piece, but the Bluetooth icon is still on my Curve 8320 screen. Appears that the radio is still on.
I cannot seem to find where to turn it off either.
I have the same situation as the above post.

Help??

You're looking for the "Manage Connections" icon - this lets you turn it on and off. Like dubdub, though, I never turn Bluetooth off. Mine has been on for months, and it uses so little battery when the headphone is off that I haven't found a reason to turn it off.

You can turn it off, but as far as I can tell you need to hit:

> Set up Bluetooth
> Hit OK
> Hit Stop
> Hit No
> Hit Menu button [the one next to the green telephone]
> Scroll to Disable

I real PITA if you ask me!

Dubdub = As far as chargers go, I have several as well but I don't feel the need to drain the battery when I'm not using BT.

I don't wear an earpiece all day, actually I hardly ever do, but it's nice to have one for those long phone calls! I do however use the BT system in my car a fair amount.

Bingo, how could I have been so stupid . I've even looked at that. See how we [i] get set in our [my] ways, one little icon made life easy and now they have to throw me for a loop! LOL.....

I am really liking the device though!

Magnum - read VinmontRDs earlier solution. Much, much easier.
