Good place to buy videos/movies for BB?? Anyone have a site online where they buy movies to watch on their Curve? I have heard of ZML.com but you have to have a pre-paid account before you even start buying. No biggy but wanted to see what else was out there first. PS. I did a 'search' first here but didn't find anything ;) |
Im searching for the exact same thing.. ;-) |
I'd like to know as well! |
I'm currently watching bee movie, beowulf, and fred claus on my bb..lol. u didn't say it have to be legal. |

you can use programs to convert dvds and other files to watch on your bb.... |
I don't think you will find any because they just use a plain MP4 format with no DRM. The only way to get something over is to convert it yourself. |
Thanks guys. Well ZML.com does allow you to download movies to your PDA for about 1.99. I believe it's in an .AVI format. It's the only option I've found so far but you are required to sort of prepay a minimum of 19.99 to your account - and I wanted to check it out first before comitting. I read about them on Boy Genius; "xxx8230;though they may not be so legal. ZML.com wants to do for movies what AllofMP3.com did for MP3s. The site is offering hundreds of blockbuster movies, available for download, for prices ranging from $1.99-$4.99. Does it sound too good to be true? Well, for the time being at least, everything seems to be completely functional. You can choose to download your flicks in a wide variety of formats, including DVD quality, DivX, and PDA/iPod-optimized. The catch, of course, is that the site might not last too long. Theyxxx8217;re aparantly using some form of Russian copyright law to skirt the obvious legal issues, though itxxx8217;s only a matter of time before they find themselves face to face with a "cease and desist" order, so you best get over there with the quickness." I've either gotta commit or keep searching... :) |
Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8320/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100) Just convert your own DVDs. This is illegal and think about who you are giving your credit card information to. You are just asking for trouble. |
Found this on another forum. It's TV shows and not movies, but if it's just a distraction for on the plane or something it might be enough. I haven't tried it yet. I think it takes installing some reader or converter on the BB. Then you download the video to you computer and copy it to the BB using BB Desktop. videos4blackberry.info | Dig The Monday Line Up Folks.. | Blackberry, Click, Download, Full, Episode Edit: Hm they're .3gp format so maybe can just be copied to the sd card. |
the videos4blackberry site is great, I download shows daily to my server at the office using a script and then just copy them over to my BB using drag and drop. |
Cool. I'll check that site out! Thanks :0) |
Works well with WiFi Browser If you have a WiFi BB (e.g. BB8320) you can simply download the shows OTA using the WiFi Browser. I found that most shows only take a few minutes to download. I found that downloading over the Internet Browser will fail as T-Mobile seems to restrict downloads of larger files over EDGE/GPRS. |
