Is there something wrong with Gmail today. Twice now my phone has received 88 message from my Gmail account, all at once.

I did change from the Pearl to the Curve this weekend. Saturday morning to be exact and it just dawned on me that when I did change devices none of my old Gmail messages came through. New ones were coming though. But I don't understand why it would take so long. (4 days) for the old messages to come through.

It did it 3 more times so far today. This sucks big time. It did it once back to back so I got about 160 messages all at once.

RIM has been following this issue for a while. I do not believe it is fixed yet. Basically, the BIS polls a message count of zero and polls a set of old email again, as it did not "remember" the previous UIDs.

If removing/re-integrating does not fix it, you will need to setup a forwarding rule to a blackberry.net email address until the issue is patched on the BIS.

I don't think these things are gmail's fault, sometimes your BIS re-registers you. It's happened to me ... about 2 times.. in the 8 months i've been using this blackberry. lol. Real battery killer!

Be honest, I haven't any problem with GMAIL apps on my BB since 2/2007.

I am not getting any gmail to my curve after coming from the Pearl. I even re-registered it using the phone app. The only time something from Gmail shows up is when I send an email in actual gmail. Thoughts?
