Default Bugging me to death-Home Screen Symbol

Please Login to Remove!

This is bugging me to death! I have an 8300. On the home screen, there is a symbol I can't figure out. There is the battery symbol a touch to the right of center, then to the right the unknown symbol (looks like a square with a red asterick and a number that keeps increasing, currently 11). Next to this one is the message envelope withthe number of email messages and then the voicemail symbol with the number of voicemails.

What is the symbol to the right of battery and to the left of the email message symbol?

Thanks.......I may be able to sleep better at night if someone can help!

Could be calendar or tasks?

I think it "looks" kinda like a calendar, but the number next to it keeps going up and I can't figure out why! Nothing I delete or do reduces the number, so I can't figure out why it is there!

Really appreciate it...and a NICE tool in your sig!

Here it is. It's the one with the 11 next to it. What needs to happen to make these reduce, and how do they get there?

Not sure. It's a little different than the one that pops up for calendar for me. Also, I never get that icon unless the device is locked. I would check your calendar and your tasks. Do you have any 3rd party applications installed?

You are the best! I started walking through my third party apps to see what I had. Turns out, that icon was telling me I had new facebook messages. Go figure! Thanks very much!

Really like the JL_CMDER
