Default Reboot Problem... continued

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Folks:

I started a thread before about my 8320 rebooting. I actually found what is causing this which seems to be a hardware problem. My phone would reboot mostly when I was taking the case/holster off my belt while the phone was still in its case.

Today I realized that anytime I put pressure on the botton of my phone, underneath where the T-Mobile brand is (the very bottom), I was able to replicate a reboot.

Has anyone else run into this problem, if so what would suggest? Also, if anyone would be kind enough to try this on their 8320 to see if it happens, I would greatly appreciate it!!

Update:

Called T-Mobile and they are going to send me a replacement phone (albeit, maybe a refurb which I am not to happy about). Anyways, When I get my new phone, should I just do a restore to get everything back to how I had it? Thanks

Did you originally buy a refurb? If not they can't just replace yours with one, they have to provide you with an a new "orriginal" item of equal value. I'd complain about that....

Nope, I paid full tilt $449 since I was still under contract. They told me that was RIM's policy and they (Tmobile) would not know if the phone was refurbed or new since it was coming from the manufactuer.
