Default general question on bb 8320

Please Login to Remove!

hi i was wondering if anyone could help me. I am an AT&T customer looking to buy a bb. I was looking at the 8820 because of the wifi but it has no camera. I then saw the 8310 which looks very nice but does not have wife. Tmobile has the 8320 which has wifi but no push to talk. i was wondering if the 8310 is wifi capable but somehow needs to be turned on? please if anyone knows let me know thanks

no the 8310 does not have wifi. there's a difference in the hardware of the phone. however wifi is overrated unless you really feel that talking over UMA would really benefit you.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8700g: BlackBerry8320/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

WiFi does help with browsing speed, quite a bit for me. But the main use of it is for the UMA calls. I am not sure if the Push to Talk feature will work.

Yes, you can use the unlocked 8320 for wifi (data only-no UMA.) If you want PTT you'll have to load the OS and do some modifying to the Platform.alx file on your PC. However, it should work just fine.
