wireless radio keeps turning off

Traveling in mexico (does that matter?) With my ATT curve and at least 4-5 times a day ill notice that the wireless radio turned itself off. This never happens at home in the US. What would cause this? Or is my shit just broken?!?

Sounds like a defective unit. If a battery pull doesn't straighten it out then it sounds like bad hardware.

Homescreen may say OFF , but I don't believe it will uncheck the Mobile Connections box in Manage Connection , all by itself.

That's what I'm hoping. I keep losing my signal and also bouncing between a few different mexican networks. Maybe its doing it automatically. Again, never did this in the US and I've had this bb for many months without a problem

That's your issue, now that you explain. You aren't getting an AT&T signal nor automatically roaming to another.

Figured, but was looking for a definitive explanation. I'll be on 1 network, then lose signal and show "searching for network", then it will find and connect to a second network... So apparently it IS roaming from network to network successfully. If it still happens when I get back to the US ill deal with it then

Did you got the same problem when you got back to your home network?
I have a user who got the exact same issues with his 8310 as you did. When he got back home from Germany the issues still occurred. I switched my battery with his and his problem disappeared for 3 month. Now he's got the same problem again.
Anyone know how to solve the problem?
