Do you have a data plan? You need a specific Blackberry data plan, not a basic smartphone plan, to use messenger services.

The service books are downloaded to your device once you have the data plan.

Call your carrier for a BlackBerry Data Plan.

You can not push Service Books - they are pushed down to your BB by your carrier.

Great. You got a BlackBerry. Call them and ask them AGAIN about a BLACKBERRY DATA PLAN. Not an Internet plan.

Since you're on FIDO you
a) Can't get a BlackBerry Data plan, since they only offer BlackBerry connect (which will work for all BlackBerry Data)
b) Can't get WLM because they don't offer the service books for it

Now that was easier than my description. Fido still doesn't offer a BB Data Plan?

Yup, sounds like Telcel simply doesn't support those functions and blocks any data transfer.

No one blocks the WLM app, they just don't have the service book offered for it to function.

To my knowledge T-Mobile, Bell and Telus are the only carriers who offer it.

My suggestion is that you get JiveTalk, it's compatible with msn, yahoo, icq, Aim, and myspace IM. And it works with TCP connections (standard internet data plans) if you don't have BBdata.

Good Luck and enjoy your Curve.
