Default Setting Up a 2nd Email Account - Help

Please Login to Remove!

I'm running BIS 1.8, yes i know it old, but I never upgraded. I have my work emails coming to my BB and now I want to add my yahoo account. How do I do this so that my reply address when I recieve my yahoo email is my yahoo email address and when I get a work email, my reply address is my work email address. Right now it's set so my work email address is the reply address, not my @rogers.blackberry.net address.

btw, reason i didnt upgrade to 1.8, is cause rogers keeps telling me I might have to change my @rogers.blackberry.net address which i don't want to do.

Thanks

There is no SET way to choose a default email for certain incoming emails. When replying, you can change the reply email by scrolling to the the top and change the "send using" to desired email. That is the easiest way I know.

This is correct information: A BB will only reply from the address to which it was sent to that BB. You can't change that. You can forward, and change the "sent from" address.

So, if you receive an email to your yahoo address on your BB and click to reply, it will send from that yahoo address automatically. Likewise, one sent to your @yourcompany.com will reply from that @yourcompany.com address.

Now, you can set your default outgoing email at Options > Advanced > Default Service (or Message Services) and choose the address you want for default. You can always change that in each email by scroll to the to top of the compose screen and changing the SEND USING option. Also note that a new email to a contact in your address book will default to the last service used to send to that same address.
