Default Need to synch my new 8310 Curve

I have been using a (Nextel) Blackberry 7520 and synchronizing it with my Outlook in my desktop computer over USB for several years, and have as of today swapped services to AT&T and a Blackberry 8310. Can I simply plug my new 8310 to my USB and synch up all my old contacts, calendar info, tasks, etc? or do I have to install a newer version of Desktop manager and start from scratch?
My existing version of Desktop manager is

Any thoughts?
My mind is like a steel trap... everything that goes in there, comes out all mangled and full of holes.

If you upgrade DM to 4.2 SP2 (I don't recommend 4.3 yet) then you can use the Switch Handheld Wizard, which will move over all of your data and OTA applications. Works great!
