I have a blackberry with At&t.

i was thinking on heading to t-mobile for the blackberry curve in gold
.

Is this a good move? i wouldn't do it if a new blackberry is on it's way. Is there any word on a new model coming out?

There are new models all the time with different carriers. The best thing to do is decide what you want out of the phone and the carrier and ask for a suggestion as to which is best.

From your post it seems like the color maybe the factor.

Personally, I think the Titanium (Grey) is kind of boring. I would have liked to have had gold, myself. I haven't actually seen a gold one in person but many who see them in person like them.

My T-Mobile rep just got one and I must say they look much better in person. I did not like them in the marketing material.

I agree with Mr. Clark, as a proud owner of a Titanium colored Curve, I wish I had gone with a Crimson. Gold would have been top choice, but I wouldn't switch carriers for color. So many new models each year, who knows what phone/color will be available on a carrier in 6 months.

Would the Curve be a different phone completely than your current BB?
If you already have a Curve through ATT maybe you could just replace the external casing. I have the Ti Curve and just use a skin to modify the color depending on my mood.

I have a gold Curve, and I have to say that it really does look better in person than in the photos. Very classy. The black trim on the sides and back offset the gold very well.

Having done my little fashion review, you might want to check out the features availible in each carriers Curve offering. They are not all the same.

The full OEM housings are not available. They have the front piece available, but not the back piece and the bottom-front piece.

The full silver 8300 Curve case is available, but who wants silver anymore!?

That is a solid suggestion. But I am self diagnosed OCD, and not having a matching housing all the way around would constantly eat at me.

As soon as full unbranded housings are available I will buy the crimson and the gold.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Could always but a housing and paint it
