Is there a lifetime timer on the 8800? I am trying to find out how many minutes this used 8300 I just got had on it from the previous owner.

I have yet ti find a call timer on my BB not all that important to me

Actually there is a timer, in phone log, menu, status.

However, this can be easily reset to zero or have a huge number when the device has little use.

The only timer I've seen is hit the green key, then menu and "Status". There's a "Total Calls" time there.

But, when I got a warranty replacement for my phone, that amount was right about where my old phone was so I think that data carries over and is not a true lifetime timer.

Likely there is a timer but only RIM could access.
