is there a way to delete the entire contents of a mailbox in one shot? specifically the sms or mms mailboxes?

is there a shortcut or a way to program in a speed dial for the keyboard lock oother than clicking on it?

For the first question what you need to do is use the trackball to highlight the top date (12/11/2007) while in the SMS or MMS folder. Press the Menu key and then select "Delete Prior." This will delete all messages in that folder prior to that date.

For the second question, if you disable the "Dial from Home Screen" option then while on the home screen you can press the K key to lock the keypad. Or if you don't want to disable the "Dial from Home Screen" you can lock the device by pressing ATL + ENTER.
