Default Transfer data from Nokia 6680

Please Login to Remove!

Hi there,

I've got a BB 8310 and I want to transfer all the information from my old Nokia 6680. First of all, about the contacts, the SIM card transfer is not a good way (from my point of view), because this takes a lot of time (for 3000+ contacts) and mainly because it splits the information from a contact into several fields (each containing the same name but different info). I tried to sync with Outlook but it does not work, I have a lousy Vista and it breaks as soon as I start synchronising...Are there any other software / ways of transfering contacts, calendar entries, SMS messages and also the messages stored in My files directory from 6680 ?

Thx. a lot !

I know some phones have the option to transfer address book via bluetooth. I would check if your nokia has that. Or if it even has bluetooth

Who is your carrier? If ATT go to a corporate store there is a device that they can transfer the number from one device to another! 6680 to 8310 I know the machine has software for 8310 not sure about 6680 but odds are good that they do

The carrier is Vodafone, but they don't have transfer services, I've already checked this :( On the other hand yes, 6680 has the option of sending the address book through bluetooth but even if the two devices are connected I
ve got an error message on trying to send only one contact... Anyway, unfortunately this does not solve the calendar entries issue... So I guess this is not my lucky day, huh... Guys, if you have any other ideas, please let me know... Thx again

Maybe a good idea is to try synchronizing through a stable XP operating system... I'll try this too... I was wondering if there is any conversion software which transforms the .nbu files created by Nokia on back-up into BB files. I'm dreaming, I know, but I still hope for an elegant solution
