Is there a way to enable a camera that has been disabled by my system administrator?

Not without putting your job in jeopardy.

You'd have to wipe the device and unattach from your company BES to get it back. However, when you re sync with the BES the policy will come back.

There is no way to get around the policy. That's the idea.

The IT policy will still be on the device even after wiped. Juwaack and JC are correct, If you value your job, don't attempt this.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8300/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

That's what I figured. Thanks.

True, but the policy can be replaced with a blank policy if the device is not going to be used on the BES again.

Just to clarify: You cannot get around the IT policy while connected to the BES. It's that simple. If you want to disconnect and never reconnect it again, there are fixes. However, it's not possible to get around their policy while connected to their BES.

Not sure how your company works but you might be able to get the policy changed...

maybe your IT guys can allow you to use your camera for certain timeslots during the day or for specific days during the week.. if they just can't then there's no other way other than to get another BB and not hook it up with BES

?
