Exclamation UMA Problem

Please Login to Remove!

I had a problem with my original Curve. The Spacebar wasnt working properly but the phone worked great especially the UMA feature. The new phone's UMA hardly ever connects. I was thinking of reinstalling the Same OS on the phone but I am having problems. Maybe I should Downgrade to .175 then back up to .180? Any suggestions and instructions on how to do this? I tried wiping OS from Desktop but when reinstalled it did not work. I connected the phone and open App loader as many of the threads said to do with no success. What To do?

Did you happen to see the threads about how UMA was totally down from Friday until last night due to T-Mobile data center flooding?

Don't downgrade. UMA should be up now. Pop the battery out and then back in.

My connection has been flaky over the past couple days but it is working now. We will see over the course of the day.

It was down since Friday. Some indiciduals may have had UMA, but the service has not been available. It came back up 830 last night.

try changing the channel on the router first before you do anything. I have the same problem with my Linksys wrt54gs until I changed my channel to 11. I had to start from channel 1 and then go up one channel at a time.

Channel 3 is the channel that seems to work best for most people.

I've seen it referenced a few times and since I've used it my connection has been solid.

I agree. I think channel 11 is good too. But 3 seems to be working great for me.

Do you have the documentation that came with your router?

For most Linksys you just type in 192.168.1.1 into your web browser. That will bring up the password page. I think the default username is blank and the password is admin. If you've changed it then use whatever you changed it to.

Must be my hardware because I tried channel 3 and it did not work as well as 11, also I am using wap2 personal security so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

I use WPA2 Personal security as well and it works fine for me.

Pick a channel that's not in use by your neighbors around you.
