Default max size of attachements in an email sent from blackberry?

Please Login to Remove!

yesterday i had to take some pictures of damaged fiber optic cable and send it to my supervisor. i took about 4 pics and tried to send all the attachements at once from the blackberry.

after like 10 minutes, i cancelled the send b/c the thing still wasnt finished.

not one picture was over 850k...so in total, at most, it was about 3.5mbs.

hold on, let me see If I can check a send here.

I'm testing four JPGs averaging 850kb each, one is over 900kb, so it will be similar to yours. It is going slow... bb uploads are SLOW!

I have sent 4 meg attachments with no problems and regularly send 1 and 2 meg attachments. I do this regularly through my BES account and my personal Gmail account (non-BES) that is linked to my Blackberry

If I recall, on the BB website in the BIS User Guide it states that BIS 2.4 supports up to 5MB emails, and a 3MB max photo attachment.

It has been a while since I read this, but I am pretty sure that's what it says.

Default What about audio attachments?

Is it possible to attach an audio file such as a mp3 or other formatted song to an email and send it to other BB curve users?

If so, please elaborate. Thanx in advance.

P.S. whats the audio attachment limit if there is one?

Nyce, I don't know the limit of an mp3, but you can attach to an email and send from your BB. I know I have tried a longer one, and it didn't work.
