Hello friends, I've been a lurker here and this is my first post, first of all, I want you to know that this forum is great.

I have a question, I downloaded the Gmail APP for my curve from a page (it was given here, the page lets you download the Gmail APP in .alx), but the .alx was for the 8100 and I installed it on my curve, now, the application is working great, I already checked my mail, and all, I just want to ask you if there's a problem because of that? I know it sounds like a silly question because the app is working fine, but is better to ask: Is there a problem if the app was for the 8100 and I installed it on my CURVE? I'm using it fine.

Here's another question: I don't have an unlimited plan, I have 20mb (aprox) per month, I've been using only JiveTalk and it's ok (not using that much data), and now I installed Gmail APP to check my mail sometimes, not always and I won't have the gmail app open always, just to check my mail and sometimes replay a mail, what I want to know is: Do you know how much data (KB) gmail app uses? Just an aprox, will it be ok if I use gmail if I only have 20mb per month? I repeat, I'll be using it only to see how many new mails I have (I won't open all of that mail).

ONE LAST QUESTION (sorry for that jeje) is: I can't use my trackball on the opera! When I want to click on a link the trackball does not work, and I have to use the menu button and use select, I have the last version and I downloaded it to my pc and then I used the BB soft to install it to my BlackBerry, can you help me please?

1- How do you know the app was for the 8100? If it works, it works.

2- Now way to tell. Why don't you use the push mail for the BB. I don't know what gmail uses data-wise, but your BIS push email only downloads the first 2kb of any mail, even if it is 2mb. You will "receive more" as you scroll through the message, but you don't get all the mail downloaded at one time.

3- don't know. I do know you can download to your BB from links in OM, if your link you are trying is a download link.
