Hi Guys - new user but so happy to have found the blackberry forum.

I've been using my 8300 for about 6 months and absolutely love it. Question I have for you guys is my Calendar for the last month does not alert me on upcoming events. I have changed my tones, had a look at the settings, tested it out but for some reason it is continually ignoring the calendar. Anyone else have this issue? Does it have issues with the phone?

By the way are there other patches that I am missing for my Curve? Its still new...

Only my new 8310 has 4.2.2 software. And when I go to get the Calendar Patch, it says "There are no updates available for your device". It thinks I don't need it. The over the air download just hangs up.

But still I can't get an audible alert for a calendar event. Any more suggestions from anyone? I just got my phone 2 months ago and it should be up-to-date with software. I have tried every ring-tone in every profile, and nothing.

Go into Profiles folder, scroll down & choose Advanced..., select the profile you are wanting the calendar to ring in, select calendar. Then in both the Out of Holster and In Holster sections: check that TONE is selected (as opposed to vibrate or none). Also check two lines below that on the volume line: check that it's not on mute. (also, I find that the escalating feature doesn't always work with all ringtones so for diagnostics, don't select that either). Hope that clears up your problem.
