Default Missed call icon will not leave??

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

As I was turing off my curve a call started to come in as it shut down. I turned it on and now the missed call icon (x1) will not leave.... I tried resetting the phone by removing the battery and still the icon is there....

Any ideas?

This is wierd.... and annoying to see it there.

p.s., I've missed another call since and it then say's (x2) and when I click send to see the list of missed calls it show it and then again it just goes to x1 and it doesn't leave?

Thanks!

Ahh, the mighty Rogue missed call problem.

Common issue which RIM is aware of.

Best solution is to wipe the device (as long as you have made sure there are no missed calls in the missed call folder of the device)

A much easier solution is to first try a battery pull and then switching themes. In a lot of cases this will clear the issue. The OS reinstall is the last resort.

Agreed, however you might have not read the KB Article I had included which indeed states the wipe as the last resort (in addition to the items you had included)

Celeb,

I didn't hit the link your provided. Was just concerned that the OP would just read your response and immeadiatly head for a re-install.

Funny the KB didn't mention switching themes and switching back.... The theme thing seems to work a lot of the time.

The KB doesn't, but the FAQ does... How do I reset my message counter to clear, or zero? - BlackBerryFAQ
