Default TMoble 8320 Curve As A Modem, Problem with Step 8 of Set up Instructions.

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, When I get to Step 8 (shown below), where I want to enter the Special Configuation Step is Grayed out and I can not enter anything. Any ideas on how to ungray (unlock) this field so I can enter the TMobile configuration?
I am running Vista Home Prem. with all updated Blackberry Desk Top and Device Software.
THE Problem Step =
IMPORTANT SPECIAL CONFIGURATION STEP
Click Properties -> Advanced. Add only ONE of the following Extra initialization commands with the appropriate carrier-specific APN Setting:

TMOBILE USA Users (Success!)
+cgdcont=1,"IP","wap.voicestream.com"
This is a newer string from TMO that works: +cgdcont=1,,"wap.voicestream.com"
Another alternate string (required for BlackBerry 8100 Pearl & BlackBerry 8800): +cgdcont=1,"IP","wap.voicestream.com"

Thanks!!

Are you using Vista? Someone with this problem in Vista had forgotten to be in administrator mode.

Forgive me for asking what might be a stupid question...

Where are the step-by-step instructions for setting up a bluetooth modem tether? I looked in the FAQ (at the top of the screen) and found a tiny little blurb on the topic under "Bluetooth FAQ".

Thanks!

Default Thanks For the Tips.

Hi, Troy and Monkey, Thanks for all your help. My BB Curve is now working as a modem. As an Emergency Manager, this is a great way to back up my wireless connectivity when in the field.
Thanks!!
