Default Browswer on 8310

Please Login to Remove!

I just recieved my blackberry, but the internet is a little weird. I thought the internet would be something like the iphone where you can search webpages the way it looks. When I sign on the internet I don't see a spot to type in a URL and when I go to the the sports and espn it is all text. Like it has listed SCORES, NEWS.. I thought you can type in an address or URL and it would actuly show the page as if you were looking at it on a computer. I don't know if I need to download a new browser insted of using the one it comes on, but I am lost. Not what I expected.

The BlackBerry Browser is not like the iPhone's browser. In order to type in a URL you can press the Menu key and select Go To and that will allow you to type a URL.

You will probably want to download and install Opera Mini as that will show pages more like they really are. It also allows you to zoom in and out on sections of the web page.

Default New Browser Offers Zooming

The new Blackberry Internet Browser has multiple views to choose from in the Menu and it also lets you select and zoom in on the area chosen, very similar to Opera Mini 4.

Just my 2 cents. I don't know if the Browser updates automatically or not, I went to my web client and resent service books and now have the new functions.

Opera Mini can be found at http://mini.opera.com
