Default Tmobile 8320 not IMing anymore over wifi

Please Login to Remove!

Does anyone else have this problem ? Any solutions?

I do not have a data plan. I was able to do this over wifi after I got the free blackberry feature enabler. I have not been able to do this for the last few days.

tmo says use your computer :P

wife just told me wifi from t-mobile hot spot at home is down at the moment so it wont work

like i said its good having a wife who works at the costumer care call center for tmo lol

a MUST have "BDP" which blkbry data plan.

back from vacation of sorts.

Still no IM. Still connection error 65. Maybe when it worked a while ago, it was a fluke?

I also got a BIS plan for a few weeks overseas and IM worked fine.

The IM clients that come pre-loaded on the 8320 with T-Mobile will not work without a Blackberry data plan. The Blackberry voice addon also does not allow the IM clients to work either.

What I suspect happened was the account setup on the RIM side was not done all the way (i.e., removing your ability to IM) so when the T-Mobile account and the RIM account sync'ed up since you only have the voice addon the ability to IM was removed.

In short, it's working as it should.
