If by VOIP you mean UMA yes 99% of us. If you mean a third party VOIP app for like Skype or Vonage no,they have not been developed as of yet.

yes I do mean VOIP with a thrid party software. Such as skype, gizmo, etc. etc. I do know skype has 1 out for BB, but I think it requires you to have a data package on ur service. If any1 tried that, let me know if it works, and how good it is. Thanks in advance.

Default Uma

I third that Yay!! UMA Thurman for president lol!

Anyways I love the phone by WiFi I travel allot and I sometimes stay in cities well I don't know if you could call them that let's just say one horse towns where the horse died 10 years ago and sometimes there's no Tmo signal not even Cingular for that matter but thank god for Super 8s' with WiFi so I turn off my phone radio and turn on the WiFi and once I see the UMA on the top right corner I know everythings going to be alright. p.s. I love my curve who can beleave I left Nextel after 8 years just for this phone, I missed the walkie talkie but Boost took care of that. No regrets!

Default VoIP

T-Mobile HotSpot @Home is a WiFi VoIP solution that is great, I've been using it on my Curve for 6 to 8 weeks. As soon as I walk into my work or home wireless the BlackBerry picks up WiFi and becomes a VoIP phone. The same thing in Airports, at any Starbucks or Kinko's. Worked on our vacation using a hotels wireless in New York.

NO problems it works great and I didn't buy the T-Mobile router.... The T-Mobile deal is really smart for them. Most of the time my BlackBerry isn't using any of the T-Mobile bandwidth cell or internet... it's a great VoIP handset + email using my DSL. I haven't checked but I'm sure they are not rolling over the mins I'm not using, smile.

cheers Charles

As of now, you do not have a UMA / VOIP option.
